Israel Markovitz


Mr. Markovitz is a partner in FBC's Litigation Department, and specializes in complex civil and commercial litigation, class actions, administrative law and in the field of trusts and estates.

Mr. Markovitz has vast experience in representation before the entire spectrum of Israeli courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceeding. Mr. Markovitz’s clients include public and private companies in the fields of construction and infrastructure, energy, insurance, banking, telecommunications and the internet, as well as two hybrid bodies.

Prior to joining the firm, Israel spent eight years as a senior attorney in the Economics Division of the Office of the State Prosecutor, where he gained considerable experience in the prosecution of complex white collar crime, including crimes relating to securities, tax  and money laundering.

Mr. Markovitz served as a teaching assistant to Prof. Shahar Lifshitz (currently the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Bar Ilan University) and as a lecturer in family law.

Mr. Markovitz served as a law clerk to the honorable Supreme Court judge Menachem Ilan and thereafter, for Adv. Hanan Meltzer, currently a Supreme Court judge.

Mr. Markovitz is a member of the Israel Bar Association’s Class Action Committee.
