For the last two decades, the State of Israel has been involved in an accelerated process of infrastructure development. FBC has developed extensive experience in all aspects of infrastructure projects, from the perspectives of the various participants. As this practice area is inherently multi-disciplinary, it draws on a wide array of expertise throughout the firm. In its infrastructure practice, FBC represents the Israeli Government, bidders, concessionaires and lenders in analysis, negotiations, structuring and drafting of all project-related matters.
FBC has been involved in Israel's most significant infrastructure projects and project finance matters, such as the Tel-Aviv Light Railway project, the Cross-Israel Highway project, the Ashkelon Power Plant, the Israeli Railway electrification project, the Carmel Tunnels project, the privatization of several public transportation lines and several desalination projects. One of FBC's most notable project matters was its representation of the Israeli Government in the restructuring of the business activities of the Israel Railways and its separation from the Ports and Trains Authority, including a development program of approximately US$ 5 billion.
