This notice is in regard to the updating of amounts pursuant to the Aviation Services Law (compensation and assistance for flight or change in its terms), and the Aviation Services Regulations (compensation and assistance for cancellation of a flight or change in its terms) (domestic flights).
On December 2017, the Israeli General Manager of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety published a notice regarding the updating of the amounts specified in the Aviation Services Law (Compensation and Assistance for Cancellation of Flight or Changes in its Terms), 2012 (the “ASL”), and in the Aviation Services Regulations (compensation and assistance for cancellation of a flight or change in its terms) (domestic flights), 2013 (the “Regulations“). The update came into effect on January 1, 2018.
The amounts were updated as follows:
1. The amount specified in section 11 (a) of the ASL shall be – “NIS 10,270”.
2. In the First Schedule to the ASL (compensation for cancellation of a flight):
Flight distance up to 2,000 km – 1,280 NIS;
Flight distance to 4,500 km – 2,050 NIS;
Flight distance over 4,500 km – 3,080 NIS.
3. In the Third Schedule to the ASL (the price of a flight ticket issued as part of a tour package):
