We are pleased to provide you with another Planning and Zoning Law update which contains summaries of recent court and appeal tribunal decisions.
We direct your attention to the decision of the Planning and Zoning Appeal Tribunal in Jerusalem which analyzed purchase groups and established that when the purchase group constitutes a single economic unit, a betterment levy exemption pursuant to section 19(c)(1) of the third schedule of the Planning and Zoning Law will not be granted.
This decision, which we believe will be appealed, joins other general guidelines and laws which regulate purchase groups and which create economic restrictions with regard to these procedures.
