We are pleased to present you with another Urban Renewal legal update which includes summaries of recent important court and tribunal decisions.
In this update we review:
- Plan TA/MK/4553 for the execution of an urban renewal project in the Ajami area in Jaffa.
- Although National Outline Plan 38 was recognized as a national interest, it is not an absolute interest and it is not an exclusive interest, and when the matter of a request to reinforce a building is being considered, other interests such as the conditions of the plot and of the area must be considered.
- A National Outline Plan 38 project in the “demolition and reconstruction” track cannot be carried out on a building which is designated for protection.
- Is the Regional Committee required to evaluate and approve permit requests in accordance with their planning potential or the built up area in practice.
