We would like to remind you that this year, Memorial Day for Israel’s Fallen Soldiers and Victims of Terror will be observed on Monday, May 13th, 2024.
In accordance with the Memorial Day for the Fallen of Israel’s Wars Law 5723-1963, employees who are parents, grandparents, spouses, children, or siblings of fallen soldiers and victims of terror are entitled to be absent from work on Memorial Day without any salary reduction.
Independence Day is a public holiday, and employers are required to pay their employees accordingly as dictated by the Israeli Independence Day Law of 5709-1949.
